hmmmmmmm... interesting.

Everyday By David Levithan

Synopsis: Every day a different body. Every day a different life. Every day in love with the same girl. There’s never any warning about where it will be or who it will be. A has made peace with that, even established guidelines by which to live: Never get too attached. Avoid being noticed. Do not interfere. It’s all fine until the morning that A wakes up in the body of Justin and meets Justin’s girlfriend, Rhiannon. From that moment, the rules by which A has been living no longer apply. Because finally A has found someone he wants to be with—day in, day out, day after day.

My Review: When I first saw this book in the bookstore I hadn't really seen much about it or heard anything from anyone about it, but when I read the snippet on the back it sounded really interesting to me. I did enjoy this book, it was written well and it was really interesting to see the different perspectives and different people that A would wake up in every day, it just shows how different and diverse all of our lives really are. I did have some problems with this book though, at some point it would get very slow for me and it just seemed like the main character really was chasing after something he'd never be able to attain, and it very sad throughout most of it. But overall I did enjoy this book.

GIVE ME MORE

The Giver, By Lois Lowry

Synopsis: Jonas' world is perfect. Everything is under control. There is no war or fear or pain. There are no choices. Every person is assigned a role in the Community. When Jonas turns twelve, he is singled out to receive special training from The Giver. The Giver alone holds the memories of the true pain and pleasure of life. Now, it is time for Jonas to receive the truth. There is no turning back.

My Review: THIS BOOK. I had been meaning to read this book for a long time, almost everyone I know had read this book when they were younger and I thought it was time for me to hop on the bandwagon especially since they're making a movie adaption that is coming out soon! This book gave me so many different emotions, I don't know whether I loved it or hated it. It was written beautifully, Lois Lowry really made me feel like I was in this world, and felt like I was being newly introduced to these memories and emotions like Jonas was. BUT I also had some problems with this book, the fact that at the end it just randomly ends left me in disbelief and so many mixed emotions. This book is very short and for the most part I think that everything was condensed nicely in the few pages that was given, except for the end, I WANT TO KNOW WHAT HAPPENED NEXT. UGH.

John Green never disappoints

                             Paper Towns, By John Green

Synopsis: Quentin Jacobsen has been in love with his neighbor, Margo Roth Spiegelman, forever. Always just admiring from afar until one day she appears at his window in the middle of the night demanding him to help her with her plots of revenge. After their little adventure is finished and every things said and done, the next day Margo has run away. Quentin soon finds out that she left clues for him that lead him closer to her whereabouts and closer to the who the real Margo is...

My Thoughts: I love John Greens writing, i've read The Fault In Our Stars and Looking For Alaska in the past and it really made me want to read this book. John Green didn't disappoint because I really enjoyed this book, I thought that the characters were very interesting and enjoyable to read about and the story was very exciting and made you itching to find out what was going to happen next. I did find some parts of the story a little slow but overall it was a nice book to read.
